Spot on analysis. I felt all these things while watching the film, which I hadn’t been interested to see and only did to keep a friend happy for her birthday, but was then glad to have seen. It was just a fun movie, with as you say, a classic ‘battle of the sexes’ arc. Anyone who considered the film ‘woke’, to their ire or their delight, either came in with that expectation and saw what they wanted to, or has expectations of culture that can never be met.
