The next Star Wars TV showrunner confirms that Disney is moving away from one of George Lucas' key ideas about how the Force works. Leslye Headland of Star Wars: The Acolyte, aims to redefine “balance” in the Force, emphasizing the need for both Light and Dark in order to have balance. We know this as dualism or the whole Yin and Yang thing. They need each other.

George Lucas' view of the mythology he created was that the dark side was the cause of imbalance. The Light, in his view, was the perfect balance.

I quickly broke this down today and thought I’d share it with you all.

Truth be told, I’ve been coming to understand that in my own 2021 book, How The Force Can Fix The World, I might have gotten “balance” wrong too. It’s a weighty subject. So this is me revisiting that idea. Enjoy!
