Couldn't agree more. I've heard a good bit of complaining from fans that Bix was short-changed here, because she's a woman or her value was reduced or whatever, but they're completely missing the point of her sacrifice. I hadn't made the connection to this being the inverse to Anakin's choice in the prequels, but now that you've pointed it out, I have even more appreciation for the story-telling.
